MISSION Create opportunities for individual independence by providing rehabilitation programs and employment opportunities that measurably improve the lives of blind or visually-impaired individuals.
COMPANY  The San Antonio Lighthouse is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization incorporated in the State of Texas, serving people who are blind or visually impaired for 75 years. The San Antonio Lighthouse provides rehabilitation services through its Rehabilitation Center and employment opportunities through its Manufacturing Plant and Military Base Supply Stores. The Lighthouse annually contributes an estimated $50M to the local economy.

What We Do:
Manufacturing Plant – Operate the 7th largest manufacturing plant in San Antonio producing more than 80 different products and 30,000 units daily.

Military Base Service Center Stores – Operate 13 “mission-critical” supply stores at 11 military installations in Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico.

Call Center – Operate the Dyess AFB  “24/7” telephone switchboard in Abilene, Texas with blind employees.

Educational/Employment Programs – Office and business skills training, computer and technology training, resume writing, job placement assistance and Braille literacy classes.

Independent Living Skills –Provide orientation and mobility training, Senior Activity Center, volunteer opportunities, recreational programs, Low Vision Club and daily living skills instruction.

Low Vision Products Store – Offers products to assist individuals who are blind or visually impaired.
