BSC Cashier - Cannon
The San Antonio Lighthouse is seeking a cashier who serves as the team member for all functions of point of sales transactions. Must work closely with all store personnel to provide quality customer service and communicate with customers as required. This position is on a Military installation.
•Greet and assist customers when they enter the store; first line of customer contact
•Operate the Counterpoint point of sales system
•Receive and process payment from customer – credit card and customer account sales
•Process customer orders, backorders, drop shipments
•Assist customers with unique and hard to find items
•Sweep and clean the sales counter and surrounding area as needed
•Assist in stocking as needed
•Assume additional responsibilities, perform additional duties, and complete special projects as assigned
•Work with store management to create a safe, clean, healthy work environment
QUALIFICATIONS:
•Must be legally blind
•High School diploma or equivalent
•Basic math skills
•Ability to stock shelves
•Ability to read credit card numbers (if needed with the aid of a magnifier)
•Must be able to lift 20 lbs
•Must be able to stand for long periods of time
•Must be able to speak and write in English
•Basic computer and key boarding skills

Sr. Sales Manager - BSC
JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for executing the organization’s sales and marketing objectives and initiatives. This position will develop new business, and broaden the range of existing business within the bases containing BSC stores and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders.
JOB FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITES:
• Develop high level contacts and awareness on military installations
• Develop sales team – existing and new
• Coordinate sales calls on base with vendors.
• Make sales calls on existing customers and prospective customers.
• Develop Sales/Promotion/Incentive Programs
• Delegate tasks and direct assigned employees in coordination with business partners.
• Identify new revenue generating opportunities and relationships
• Meet sales goals and profit targets
• Be an ambassador in the community.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Knowledge of military store operations, management, supervision, and logistics.
• College degree or equivalent experience required.
• Two years experience in a supervisory position.
• Two years experience with military and/ or supply stores preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of military procedures and policies.
TRAVEL: Approximately 50 percent.

Delivery Driver
Delivery Driver
JOB SUMMARY:
Primarily responsible is for the daily delivery order to the customers. Performs in a productive, time sensitive and customer sensitive manner. Performs normal receiving tasks and unload delivery trucks.
JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Delivers all ordered merchandise to customers in a timely manner and business- like manner.
• Top priority should be given to taking care of our customers’ needs.
• Communicate customer feedback to sales and /or supervisory personnel.
• Handles customer complaints upon delivery of merchandise.
• Conduct all business in a professional and courteous manner.
• Unload vendor delivery trucks, sort freight, verify packages with manifest or pack list.
• Perform per-trip and post-trip inspections on the vehicle being operated daily prior to leaving from and returning to warehouse. Insures that vehicle inspections and registrations are current.
• Operated the delivery vehicles in a safe and lawful manner. Adheres to all driving regulations.
• Keep the truck and equipment in a proper working order, report any problems to the supervisor, keep the cab and cargo area clean and free of clutter.
• Properly secures all merchandise during loading and transporting.
• Validates all deliveries with the customer. Obtain POD (Proof of Delivery) for each delivery.
• Pick up and accept merchandise returns and/or damages.
• Handle all deliveries for the day and return all delivery paper work to the supervisor at the end of the day or shift
• Assists in warehouse and performs stocking, receiving tasks and the overall housekeeping of the warehouse.
• Adheres to all safety operations to include proper lifting techniques and material handling.
• Work as a TEAM member by interacting and communicating with fellow associates and management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School diploma/GED preferred
• Maintain current drivers license with good driving record, no DUI or DWI
• Must be at least 23 years of age
• 1-3 years of delivery driver experience preferred
• Able to use manual pallet jack to move pallets of products up to 2,500 pounds
• Knowledge of operation of power/mobile equipment
• Able to navigate and read a map
• Able to communicate both verbally and in writing, using the English language
• Must have excellent customer services skills
• Knowledge of basic warehouse procedures including shipping, receiving
• Must be able to lift, push, pull or otherwise move up to 60 pounds
• Must be a TEAM player and able to work well with minimum supervision

JOB SUMMARY
Leader of Manufacturing Engineering Team responsible for sustained engineering of existing products, cost savings initiatives, maintenance and support and input to New Product Development.
JOB FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for supporting existing product lines including, but not limited to:
- Line productivity enhancements
- Material’s cost savings projects
- Analysis and corrective action to unfavorable quality data
- Support of 5S and other housekeeping initiatives
- Providing a Safe Working Environment
- Ergonomically friendly operations and corrective initiatives
- Maintaining blind ratio requirement through blind friendly operations
- Supporting manufacturing in compliance to schedule
• Communicate with relevant outside governmental agencies including, but not limited to DSCP, DSCR, Small Business Administration, VA, Forestry, Homeland Defense, GSA and NIB.
• Assume responsibility for miscellaneous project activities or designate amongst team accordingly; program lead assumes program responsibility and accountability.
• Responsible for the timely support of the New Product’s Development Process
including labor, material and capital cost inputs to the Feasibility phase and PDP.
• Design and layout of New Product’s cells and lines.
• Participate in periodic New Product Development meetings to keep senior management in timely awareness of program status as well as gain executive gate approval.
• Follow-up and support of New Product’s labor and material’s support until standard targets are achieved and sustained.
• Answer inquiries from outside agencies regarding manufacturing opportunities.
• Attend and participate in relevant and required meetings and briefings.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Associates degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering, Bachelors degree preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered.
• Three to five years Leadership role in Manufacturing Engineering.
• Product Cost Accounting experience.
• Proven experience in Project Management lead roles.
• Computer friendly including experience with spreadsheets, word processing, project management and job specific software (tooling).
• Must possess above average math and analytical problem solving skills.
• Effective verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both in teams and independently.
• Understanding of principals of cycle times, manufacturing operations, equipment capabilities, fixturing and tooling, variable fixed burdens, financial costing and quotations.

This position is responsible for providing therapy to employees and consumers with visual impairments to improve their functioning in daily life activities.
JOB FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITES:
• Assess employees/consumers functioning in areas such as vision, orientation and mobility skills, social and emotional issues, cognition, physical abilities, and personal goals.
• Teach employees/consumers to travel independently using a variety of actual or simulated travel situations or exercises.
• Write reports or complete forms to document assessments, training, progress, or follow-up outcomes.
• Teach cane skills including cane use with a guide, diagonal techniques, and two-point touches.
• Train employees/consumers with visual impairments to use mobility devices or systems such as human guides, dog guides, electronic travel aids (ETAs), and other adaptive mobility devices (AMDs).
• Recommend appropriate mobility devices or systems such as human guides, dog guides, long canes, electronic travel aids (ETAs), and other adaptive mobility devices (AMDs).
• Collaborate with specialists, such as rehabilitation counselors, speech pathologists, and occupational therapists, to provide employees/consumers solutions.
• Monitor employees/consumers progress to determine whether changes in rehabilitation plans are needed.

The lead stocker is the team member responsible for coordination of all stocking activities in the store and other job functions as determined by manager. Must work closely with all store personnel to provide quality customer service and communicate with customers as required. This position is on a US military installation.

• Stock shelves – Cases on shelves must be kept neat and labeled. Stacks should not be too high for customers to reach.
• Stock Rotation – all products must be rotated as needed. Be aware of dates and changing of labels.
• When asked by the Manager, clear the parking lot of shopping carts and arrange them neatly in the cart corral.
• Remove empty boxes as needed throughout the shift
• Keep the sales floor/warehouse neat and orderly. Sweep and mop sales floor as needed.
• Operate the cash register as required.
• Back stock must be kept neat and orderly and merchandise clearly identified.
• Work with store management to create a safe, clean healthy work environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of basic math.
• Ability to speak and write English.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must pass physical exam
• 1-2 years experience in retail
• Possess a valid driver’s license. (if delivering)
• Ability to perform warehousing functions.
• Ability to operate forklift, palletjacks, and dollies.
