LEGO Basic Robot Build (EV-3: 4 Tuesdays)
During this fun online camp, students 7 – 16 years old will learn the basics of building and driving a LEGO MindStorms Robot!! Registered students will learn in a small-group with a professional coaching staff to guide them every step of the way. Upon registration, students will be mailed a LEGO MindStorms Kit with everything they need. The shipment will include a return shipping label so that the kit may be returned at no expense to the family. Students who sign up for the second camp, EV3 Lift Systems, will keep their kit until the end of the second camp.
Student will have opportunities to build and compete with the SA Lighthouse FIRST LEGO League Team during the school year. Each camper will receive details about ongoing activities as soon as the season is planned.
Lego Mindstorms is a hardware and software structure which is produced by Lego for the development of programmable robots based on Lego building blocks. Each version of the system includes an intelligent brick computer that controls the system, a set of modular sensors and motors, and Lego parts from the Technic line to create the mechanical systems.
This is a 4-week camp. Sessions held every Tuesday 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm CST.
June 2 -23, 2020.
Campers will be loaned A LEGO Mindstorms EV3 Kit upon registration, at the end of camp, if the camper is not registered for the next camp, the kit must be returned. A return shipping label will be included. Kathleen Gately or Cindy Miller, camp hosts, will contact each participant with details upon registration.
