Job Readiness & Placement

In today’s job market, finding employment can be a time consuming and sometimes frustrating process. To compete you need to market yourself successfully. Looking for a job is an infrequent activity and most people are unprepared to meet these demands.

The San Antonio Lighthouse offers job readiness training services to help individuals who are blind or vision impaired refine their job seeking skills with the following steps.

• Completing applications
• Preparing a resume
• Writing cover and thank you letters
• Searching for jobs
• Identifying and avoiding common pitfalls encountered in a new job

Job Coaching is available to assist individuals transitioning into the workforce. Supported employment services are offered for those individuals who need additional assistance in their job search.
